About this role
Ellipsis Health builds AI products that take on healthcare's staffing shortages and administrative burden, pairing conversational AI with our patented voice biomarker technology to help deliver better healthcare for everyone. Our voice agents talk with patients every day: booking and rescheduling appointments, answering billing questions, handling medication refills, and checking in after a hospital visit.
This role drives growth and operations for our provider business, which serves health systems, provider groups, and FQHCs. You'll work across the provider teams within Ellipsis, from sales and deployment to customer success, product, and engineering, and report into provider segment leadership.
About the Role
We're seeking a Business Operations Associate to play a critical role in driving growth, operational excellence, and customer success. You'll work across three areas: business operations, customer experience, and data and analytics, using a combination of analytical, operational, and technical skills to evaluate key business problems while weighing the needs of a variety of stakeholders, from internal teams to senior health system leaders.
The ideal candidate blends strategic thinking, analytical horsepower, and hands-on execution, has exceptional attention to detail, high drive and low ego, and is energized by tackling the complex, interesting challenges of a rapidly scaling startup.
Responsibilities
- Support and eventually lead internal business reviews, highlighting performance and optimization initiatives across the full funnel.
- Build scalable processes and playbooks for customer onboarding, deployment handoffs, and cross-functional workflows as the provider business grows.
- Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for health system, provider group, and FQHC customers after go-live, partnering with the deployment team to keep programs on track.
- Run recurring customer check-ins and Quarterly Business Reviews, translating program performance into clear outcomes and next steps.
- Monitor patient experience and program quality across our provider programs (outreach outcomes, escalations, and care coordinator handoffs), flagging and resolving issues before they reach the customer.
- Build and maintain customer-facing reporting and dashboards that show program impact and ROI.
- Capture customer feedback and feature requests, partner with Product and Engineering to prioritize them, and close the loop with customers.
- Identify renewal and expansion opportunities (new sites, service lines, or products) using program data, market trends, and customer feedback, and support the growth team in pursuing them.
- Develop and monitor critical operational performance metrics, surfacing the second- and third-order implications of identified trends.
- Analyze program performance and patient engagement data across deployments to benchmark outcomes, identify efficiency opportunities, and run controlled experiments to test solutions.
- Conduct in-depth market research to develop customer, competitor, partner, and white-space opportunity briefs.
Qualifications
- 3 to 4+ years of experience in a data-heavy work environment (e.g., finance, consulting), including 2+ years of investment banking, private equity / growth equity, and/or consulting, and 1+ years of operational experience at a high-growth technology company.
- Highly proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, and Sheets) and Claude.
- Ability to flex between high-level strategic thinking and deep analytical problem solving.
- Comfort in client-facing settings, including presenting performance results to senior health system stakeholders.
- Understanding of healthcare ecosystems or the ability to learn quickly (e.g., value-based care, payer-provider dynamics, regulatory trends, ROI mechanisms).
- Bachelor's degree in an analytical field (e.g., Finance, Business, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a similar quantitative subject).
Preferred
- Experience working in a startup or high-growth company.
- Experience with SQL, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Notion, Google Workspace, Slack, Miro).
