Ascension Saint Thomas West Hospital is seeking a dedicated, Board-Certified Surgical Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our esteemed Orthopedics department.
How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Join an established team of 10 physicians and 2 APPs
- Call structure: Not required
- Practice setting: Hospital based
- Access to Support staff; physicians, surgeons and nurses
- Employed position within a nonprofit health system
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant; two (2) or more years of experience in an NP or PA role preferred.
- Conducts comprehensive orthopedic consultations and clinical assessments for new admissions, fracture cases, and urgent referrals.
- Delivers comprehensive postoperative management for surgical patients, directing multimodal pain management strategies, early mobility pathways, accurate home medication reconciliations, and proactive surveillance for postoperative complications.

### What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration
- Required Credential(s): BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Licensed Compact State Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education
- Master's degree of Nursing required.
