How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Drive Pharmacy Automation & Innovation: Act as the subject matter expert and hands-on resource for advanced pharmacy technology, including Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets, carousels, IV workflow systems, compounding robotics, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Champion Safety & Quality Assurance: Oversee quality verification using barcode scanning, maintain controlled substance integrity, and ensure strict compliance with institutional and healthcare regulatory standards.
- Support Clinical & Strategic Initiatives: Partner directly with clinical pharmacists by gathering critical clinical data and leading high-impact special projects that streamline departmental operations.
- Optimize Inventory & Supply Continuity: Proactively manage pharmacy inventory, mitigate critical drug shortages, and maintain supply chain resilience across various clinical settings.
### What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration
- Required Credential(s): Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Registration with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board required. Must provide proof of application to register with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board and once registration is granted, must be maintained.
- One or more of the following: Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
