**Position is contingent upon contract award

The Equipment Specialist supports USMC equipment and logistics activities at Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany. You will help maintain accurate technical publications, investigate field maintenance and quality issues, and support depot inspections, configuration verification, and new-equipment fielding.

Responsibilities

- Develop, review, and update Marine Corps SL-3 stock lists and modification, supply, and technical instructions; verify technical manuals.
- Support Physical Configuration Audits, Physical Item Verification events, initial-spares reviews, and new-equipment fielding teams.
- Research Fleet Marine Force maintenance problems, system failures, and technical manual issues; draft responses to NAVMAC 10772 requests and DLA-339 engineering-support requests.
- Perform document and data management and Product Data Reporting and Evaluation Program action-point work on Product Quality Deficiency Reports and Supply Discrepancy Reports.
- Assist Government equipment specialists with statements of work for Inspect and Repair Only as Necessary (IROAN) and depot maintenance.
- Provide depot status updates and support pre-induction and end-of-cycle Limited Technical Inspections and sell-off events.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

- 4 years of experience performing professional services associated with USMC equipment and logistics activities.
- High School Diploma.
- Ability to research equipment and maintenance issues, verify technical records, and support configuration and depot inspection activities.
- Ability to support the Albany on-site coverage and physical verification events required for assigned duties.
- Meet applicable background investigation, CAC, network, facility, and duty-specific classified-access requirements.
- Secret Clearance

Preferred qualifications

Experience with Marine Corps equipment support, technical publications, PDREP, depot maintenance, IROAN, and fielding or configuration-verification events.
