About this role
About the Role
Own a core operational domain at an early-stage fintech, such as customer operations, payment operations, or financial crime operations. You will build and improve its processes, metrics, tooling, and automations, working closely with Product and Engineering to increase operational capacity while keeping teams lean.
What You'll Do
- Handle operational cases directly at first to identify process gaps and establish meaningful performance metrics.
- Design and launch production automations, then measure their impact on live workflows.
- Develop agent-based systems that automate routine work while keeping human review for high-risk decisions.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to define and build operational tooling.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures, escalation paths, and domain-specific KPIs.
- Improve throughput and reliability without relying on proportional headcount growth.
What We're Looking For
- Approximately 3 to 6 years of experience, including hands-on operations ownership at an early-stage technology company.
- Experience in fintech, payments, banking, crypto, or another regulated financial services environment.
- A track record of shipping production workflow automations or agents, rather than prototypes alone.
- Experience designing end-to-end operational processes, including SOPs, KPIs, and tooling.
- Hands-on familiarity with queue management, case handling, transaction processing, or similar operational work.
- Ability to work directly with Product and Engineering teams to shape operational systems and tools.
- Experience with payment operations, compliance, risk, or financial crime workflows is valuable.
