###
About the subscription product and this role
Sleek's revenue is overwhelmingly recurring: corporate secretary, accounting and compliance services are sold as annual subscriptions, and each year roughly a quarter of that entitlement base comes up for renewal through a process that remains, in large part, manual. Sales and account teams chase, remind, negotiate and collect; the product nudges but does not yet decide. The gap between the renewal rate we achieve and the rate the service quality warrants is revenue leakage, and closing it is the mandate of this role.
Mission: Own the subscription renewal journey from first renewal notice to collected payment, and convert it from a team-driven effort into a system-driven engine that raises the renewal rate and the share of renewals collected automatically.
We are looking for a commercially astute Product Manager on a contract basis who will sit between product, sales and finance and be measured on the renewal number itself. This person is hands on with data and experimentation, comfortable reading a collections ledger and a funnel dashboard in the same sitting, and expects to be in the room when sales sets its weekly renewal targets. The role is a lean one with real ownership over the renewal experience, the auto-renewal and auto-collection mechanics, and the commercial levers that govern them.
Primary accountability
You own the renewal number and the three levers that move it.
- #1: Renewal target, jointly with sales. Own the renewal rate across markets and plans alongside the sales and account management leads. Build the renewal pipeline view that shows every entitlement coming due by cohort, risk and value; agree weekly targets with sales; and own the product-side actions that lift conversion on the cohorts sales cannot reach by hand.
- #2: Automated renewal and collection. Own the auto-renewal engine and the share of renewals that are charged and collected without human intervention, including payment-method coverage, card and mandate capture at the right lifecycle moments, retry and dunning logic, and the policy for late payment, service restriction and reactivation.
- #3: Renewal experience and commercial levers. Own the customer-facing renewal journey (notices, reminders, pricing presentation, plan changes, upgrades triggered by usage or compliance complexity) and the experiment programme that tests which messages, timings, incentives and defaults change behaviour, with a bias toward auto-charge by default and clear consent.
Key outcomes
- Renewal rate up, measurably and by cohort: The renewal rate rises against an agreed baseline, with the improvement attributable to specific product changes and experiments rather than to sales effort alone.
- A larger share of renewals collected automatically: Auto-collection as a share of total entitlements increases through higher payment-method coverage, earlier mandate capture and more reliable retry logic, reducing the volume sales must chase by hand.
- A single renewal pipeline both sales and product work from: Every entitlement coming due is visible by market, plan, risk and value; sales works the list, product works the levers, and both report to the same number.
- An experimentation cadence that compounds: A standing programme of tests on renewal messaging, timing, incentives, defaults and pricing presentation, each with a hypothesis, a sample, a read-out and a decision, run on a weekly or fortnightly rhythm.
- Fewer leaks at the edges: Failed payments, lapsed services, downgrades and silent churn are classified, counted and owned, and the handling of each is either automated or assigned to a named process.
What you will do
- Run a weekly renewal review with sales and account management: what is due, what is at risk, what converted, what failed, and which product change would have changed the result.
- Pull and model the renewal data yourself: cohort renewal curves, payment-method coverage, failed-payment recovery, time from notice to payment, and the revenue at stake in each segment.
- Design, launch and read out experiments on the renewal journey, from reminder cadence and channel to pricing presentation, incentives and default settings, and turn winning variants into the standing flow.
- Specify changes to the auto-renewal engine with engineering: charge timing, retry schedules, dunning sequences, mandate and card capture, plan-change handling and the rules for service restriction and reactivation.
- Work with finance on collection policy, invoicing, credit terms and the reconciliation of collected renewals, so that what the product charges and what finance recognises agree.
- Instrument the renewal funnel end to end and publish a dashboard that sales, finance and product leadership read every week.
- Listen to renewal calls and read customer replies to understand why customers hesitate, and feed those reasons into both the product backlog and sales playbooks.
- Identify upgrade and cross-sell triggers at renewal (usage, compliance complexity, headcount) and build the prompts and offers that surface them.
- Ship fast and check your own work: write the spec, review the build, test the flow on a real account, and watch the first week of data.
Requirements
- 4 to 6 years of experience building digital products, with a meaningful portion spent owning a subscription, billing, renewal, retention or monetisation surface where you were measured on a revenue or retention number.
- Commercially astute: you understand entitlements, pricing, discounting, collections and the P&L consequences of each, and you can hold your own in a conversation with a sales lead and a finance controller.
- Strong with data and experimentation: fluent in SQL or an equivalent, able to size a cohort, design an A/B test with adequate power, and read the result without an analyst in the loop.
- Attention to detail: you notice the mis-timed reminder, the failed retry, the wrong currency on the invoice, and you fix it before the customer does.
- Incredibly hands on: you write the spec, QA the build, pull the numbers and run the review yourself; this is a lean setup with no layer between you and the work.
- Track record of shipping and iterating on real products used by paying customers, in close partnership with engineering and commercial teams.
- Must hold existing legal working rights in your country of residence (Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, or India) with no employment sponsorship required and be available to start within 2 weeks post - offer.
- Must be able to commit to Singapore working hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM SGT, Monday to Friday) on a hybrid schedule if based in Singapore, or fully remote with an equipped, dedicated home office and high-speed internet if based in Malaysia, Vietnam, or India.
Role-specific attributes
- Comfortable being accountable for a target set jointly with sales, and energised rather than threatened by a weekly number.
- Bias toward system-driven outcomes: you would rather remove the need for a chase than make the chase more efficient.
- Able to operate with limited structure and high ambiguity, and to make a defensible call on incomplete data.
- Clear communicator across product, sales and finance, with the judgment to know which audience needs which level of detail.
Nice to have
- Experience in B2B SaaS, fintech, payments or professional services subscriptions.
- Familiarity with payment orchestration, card and direct-debit mandates, dunning and retry logic, or billing platforms.
- Exposure to small-business customers in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia or the UK.
- Prior work in early-stage or fast-moving product teams.
