About this role

- Manages work activities of cleaning personnel of Environmental Services Department by performing the following personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

- Supervises preparation of work schedules for EVS staff.

- Trains staff in all necessary EVS tasks according to EVS procedures

- Monitors performance of staff and adherence to casino policies and procedures.

- Issues supplies and equipment as required.

- Arranges for repair of cleaning equipment.

- Maintains and updates cleaning supplies inventory. Submits requisitions for cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.

- Coordinates activities of outside vendors providing services and/or equipment for casino environment.

- Serves as liaison between the casino and Maintenance.

- May perform duties of supervisors and staff as required.

- Complies with the Standard Operation Procedures within Environmental Services Department.

- Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise employees of the EVS Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of EVS staff.

- Provide excellent guest service.

- Must adhere to all Tribal Ordinance, Regulations, and the ACRM and ACPS System of Internal Controls, and Standard Operating Procedures.

GAMING EXPERIENCE NOT REQUIRED

Qualifications

Required Education and/or Experience

- High school diploma or GED

- 4-6 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience with 2 years supervisory experience

- Must be able to communicate in English

- Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment

- Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

- To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1  mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift.

- Must be able to work in a smoke filled environment. Typically the individual will be housed in an office environment.

- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the casino environment.

- Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
