Position Summary
Nicola's Ristorante is seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Host / Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. The ideal candidate will create a warm and welcoming atmosphere while managing reservations, coordinating seating, and supporting the service team to ensure an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival.
- Manage reservations and waitlists using the restaurants reservation system.
- Escort guests to tables while providing menus and initial information.
- Coordinate table seating to maintain smooth service flow and server rotation.
- Answer phone calls and assist with reservation inquiries.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.
- Communicate guest needs and seating updates with servers and management.
- Assist with guest departures and thank guests for dining with us.
- Support front-of-house operations during peak service times.

- Previous host, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.

- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
