About this role

- Assists in the completion of activities assessment, progress notes and updates in a timely manner as directed by Director

- Assists in planning, conducting, and evaluating scheduled activities, special events, and projects to meet the individual interests, abilities, and service plans of residents

- Communicates the daily schedule of activities programming to residents and support staff

- Documents resident participation and response to activity programs

- Provides input and feedback to Activities Director/Life Enrichment Director regarding resident progress and program effectiveness

- Arranges the environment and set up of equipment. Ensures equipment is returned to proper place

- Assists in transporting residents to and from activities in a safe manner consistent with resident mobility needs

- Performs other duties as assigned by the Activity Director/Administrator/Designee

- Maintains a neat & professional appearance; closed-toe shoes are required

- Must have basic computer skills

- Must be able to perform duties in accordance with the guidelines mandated by Social Services as the licensing agent of this facility

- Be of acceptable physical and mental health to carry out assigned duties

- Must possess mature judgment skills and be able to respond to emergency situations

- Provides support in any area that may arise that is above and beyond the normal expectations for this position.

- Attendance is required during inclement weather

- Follows infection control policies & procedures

- Follows all policies & procedures of Runk and Pratt

- Maintains appropriate & respectful conduct within the workplace

Qualifications

- Graduation from high school or GED

- Complete annual in-service training as required

- State Police background check that is free from barrier offenses

- A current Tuberculosis screening on or within 7 days prior to the first day of employment and free from Tuberculosis

- The ability to meet physical requirements for position

- The ability to pass a drug test
