About this role
The Material Manager is responsible for ensuring material readiness in alignment with factory build plans by proactively managing supply constraints, supplier performance, and demand variability. This role serves as the central point of ownership for constrained materials—driving root cause resolution, supplier engagement, and recovery execution to protect production continuity and customer commitments.
The position requires strong cross-functional collaboration with Planning, Procurement, Operations, and Finance, as well as direct communication with customers on critical part status, risks, and mitigation strategies. The role also ensures ERP and planning data integrity to enable accurate MRP signals and effective decision-making. Success in this role is measured by the ability to anticipate risks, drive timely recovery actions, and balance service levels with inventory and cost exposure.
