Dieterich Bank is seeking a Retail Banker to join our team at our Waterloo Downtown branch. As a Personal Banker, you will be the face of the bank, helping customers achieve their financial goals while delivering exceptional service and building lasting relationships.

What You'll Do

As a Personal Banker, you will:

- Build strong customer relationships through outstanding customer service

- Open and maintain customer accounts

- Process customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing

- Assist customers with online banking, mobile banking, and digital banking services

- Address account maintenance requests, including address changes and fraud-related inquiries

- Identify customer financial needs and recommend appropriate products and services

- Resolve customer concerns professionally and confidentially

- Support branch operations while contributing to a positive team environment

- Maintain accuracy and compliance with bank policies and procedures

Qualifications

Required:

- 1-3 years of customer-facing service experience, preferably in banking, retail, or financial services

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities

- Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office, online banking platforms, and mobile applications

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

- Dependable attendance and flexibility to work rotating Saturdays

Preferred:

- Associate degree in Business or a related field

- Previous banking, teller, or retail banking experience

Schedule

- Full-time, up to 40 hours per week

- Branch hours generally between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM

- Rotating Saturday schedule (minimum two Saturdays per month) between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM

- When staffing permits, employees working a scheduled Saturday may receive a weekday off
