Schedule: M-F Business Hours (5am-4pm)

Warehouse Material Handler / Forklift Operator Job Description:

PrideStaff is working with a leading specialty distributor of drywall, ceiling tiles, steel framing, and other building materials in search of an experienced Warehouse Material Handler and Forklift Operator. This role pairs the capabilities of a national distributor with the personal touch of a local business. The Warehouse Material Handler / Forklift Operator will pull customer orders, operate forklifts safely, receive incoming building materials into inventory, and load delivery trucks. The ideal candidate is a dependable, safety-conscious team player with prior forklift experience who excels in a fast-paced environment.

Warehouse Material Handler / Forklift Operator Job Responsibilities:

Follow All Applicable Warehouse Safety Rules and Operating Procedures

Receive Incoming Building Materials & Place Them Accurately Into Inventory

Organize & Maintain the Warehouse for Efficient Storage & Quick Retrieval for Shipment

Pull Ordered Materials From Inventory & Stage Them for Pickups and Deliveries

Perform Picking & Loading Duties Safely and Efficiently Using a Forklift

Estimate Load Weights to Ensure Delivery Vehicles Are Properly Loaded & Not Overweight

Assist With Delivery Functions Including Unloading & Staging Product at Customer Job sites as Assigned

Physically Sort Through Various Products to Identify & Remove Defective Material

Maintain All Products in a Quality, Marketable Condition & Keep Accurate Inventory Records

Warehouse Material Handler / Forklift Operator Job Requirements & Working Conditions:

Forklift Experience Required; Ability to be Trained & Certified by Company

Ability to Stand, Climb, Reach, Bend, and Twist Throughout Complete Shifts

Ability to Lift and Carry Up to 250 lbs With Assistance

Previous Warehouse Experience Preferred

Knowledge of Building Materials (Drywall, Insulation, Ceiling Tile, etc.) Preferred

Capable of Handling Heavy, Awkward Loads Safely and Efficiently

Consistent, Punctual Attendance & Dependable Work Ethic
