Electrical Maintenance Technician
1st Shift / Mon – Fri / 7:00am – 3:30pm
Starting Pay: $28.00 /per hr
Piedmont, SC Area   PrideStaff - Greenville is seeking a skilled, diagnostic-minded, and dependable Electrical Maintenance Technician for a leading manufacturing facility for our customer in the Piedmont, SC area . In this vital technical role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electrical systems and components on high-volume production machinery. Working directly with schematics, technical manuals, and precision testing tools, you will ensure equipment reliability while performing both emergency electrical repairs and routine preventative maintenance.
Electrical Maintenance Technician Primary Responsibilities include:
Your main responsibility is the advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of electrical components on production machinery , ensuring optimal equipment performance and minimal operational downtime. Diagnostics & Repair: Diagnose complex electrical issues, program/troubleshoot PLCs, and execute precise repairs using electrical testing devices and measuring instruments. Technical Installation: Assemble, wire, and install electrical components, control panels, and machinery per technical specifications and blueprints. Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine inspections on drives, motors, control systems, and wiring to identify potential failures before they cause downtime. Blueprints & Schematics: Lay out repair work and wiring using electrical schematics, engineering drawings, repair manuals, and parts catalogs. Rebuilding & Component Inspection: Disassemble and reassemble machinery for rebuilding purposes; inspect used parts for wear using rules and calipers. Vendor & Inventory Management: Coordinate with suppliers and vendors when needed to order specialized repair parts and maintain critical spares. Facility & Equipment Upkeep: Assist with equipment modifications, building facilities support, and general shop upkeep as assigned by management.

Electrical Maintenance Technician Requirements include: Required Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience , including hands-on PLC troubleshooting and programming. Technical Documentation: Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, electrical schematics, ladder logic, and technical manuals flawlessly. Certifications & Mobile Equipment: Ability to satisfactorily pass internal forklift certification; prior forklift operation experience preferred. Physical Capabilities: Must regularly lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and move up to 500 lbs. with mechanical assistance; comfortable standing, bending, and maneuvering around active machinery. Visual Capabilities: Close, distance, color, and peripheral vision are strictly required to identify color-coded wiring and technical components safely. Environmental & Adaptability: Ability to adapt to variable manufacturing shop temperatures; comfortable providing occasional facilities and building maintenance support. Professional Traits: Outstanding organizational abilities, detail-oriented diagnostic skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
