Experienced Personal Injury/Torts and Insurance Defense Lawyer Needed (Associate Attorney)

Overview

A small civil litigation firm (six attorneys) is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Associate Attorney to support an active practice focused on personal injury/torts and insurance defense. This is an on-site position based in Decatur, Georgia.

Responsibilities

Manage a litigation caseload with significant day-to-day case management responsibility.

Handle matters in the firm’s personal injury/torts and insurance defense practice.

Draft and revise litigation documents with strong attention to detail.

Track and enter billable time accurately in the firm’s case management software.

Contribute to the practice’s growth, with opportunities for increased responsibility and a potential path toward partnership.

Qualifications

Active Georgia bar license.

3–5 years of civil litigation experience, including meaningful exposure to personal injury/torts and insurance defense.

Excellent legal writing skills and strong attention to detail.

Prior experience entering billable time into case management software.

Compensation

Base salary: $150,000–$185,000.

Billable hours: 1,800 target.

Bonus: May be awarded for exceeding the annual billable requirement.

Additional compensation: Origination credit.

Work Environment

On-site in Decatur, GA.

Casual attire unless clients are in the office.

Future option for 1–2 days per week remote may be available upon mutual agreement.
