KENT Nutrition Group, Inc., a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE family of companies, is seeking a Machine Operator to join our team at our Arcade, NY plant. In this role, you will play a key part in producing high-quality products in a safe and efficient manufacturing environment. We are looking for dependable, hard-working individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

This is a 2nd shift opportunity with a schedule of 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.

- The compensation range for this role is $19.00 - $19.50, in addition to KENT standard benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k). Final compensation is subject to variation based on the candidate's skills, job responsibilities, location and other pertinent factors.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Daily operation of equipment to process and manufacture feed products

- Operate the bagger, sewing machine, forklift and all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently

- Follow warehouse and loading protocols

- Ensure Kent Nutrition's quality assurance is met regarding ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging

- Record and document all feed manufactured during shift

- Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently assuring accuracy and high quality

- Assist management with production scheduling, inventory planning & control for both ingredients and finished products

- Assist with equipment maintenance and repair as needed

- Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner

- Provide excellent customer service

- Observe and enforce all company policies & procedures

- Perform general work around the facility and other duties as assigned

- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations

- Other duties as assigned by Plant Management

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

- High School diploma or GED

- 3 to 5 years manufacturing/factory experience

- Farming background a plus

- Mechanical aptitude preferred

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

- Basic computer knowledge

- Good communication, verbal, written and math skills

- Able to effectively communication with customers, co-workers and customers

- Ability to work as a team member

- Thorough understanding of cGMPs

- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, HACCP Feed & Safety Plan, and FSMA

- Ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. from floor to working height as job requires

- Ability to operate a forklift

- Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures

- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check
