About this role
The Opportunity:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Graphic Design Intern to help support our Betstamp Business Development team. This is a 4 month position with possibility for longer for the right candidate. This role is perfect for someone looking to gain experience in a fast moving startup, that overlaps heavily in the sports & sports management side of business. Successful candidates will be given real responsibility from Day 1, with the opportunity to build & influence our Canadian launch approach.
What Makes a Successful Candidate:
To succeed in this role you must be passionate about quality design and able to translate verbal ideas, sketches, or concepts into professional digital layouts and images. You should be equally comfortable working on paper, with a computer with images and text. Your work should embody simplicity and insight. You will be a member of our user experience team and work closely with our product development and marketing teams.
Responsibilities:
Creating or sourcing visual illustrations, icons and other content for use in our products or marketing. Creating visual aspects of marketing materials, merchandising, websites and other media. Ensuring brand consistency in all developed material. Managing, sourcing, and creating all digital media while paying attention to content ownership and licensing. Collaborating with your teammates to enhance the visual aesthetics, motion, and interactions in our products and marketing materials.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain professional-grade HTML email templates for each of our brands — pixel-clean, on-brand, and rendering correctly across clients
- Make sure every offer, every day, has a banner — and that AI-generated email copy matches the creative it ships with
- Build promotional flows through our internal Promo Factory tooling, and log the improvements and issues you hit — your notes directly shape the tool
- Set up new lifecycle flows for new brands and execute the A/B tests our retention lead designs
- Pick up the odd design task that comes with a fast-moving team — variety is part of the deal
What Makes a Successful Candidate
- A portfolio that shows craft: layout, typography, and brand consistency under real constraints
- Working HTML/CSS for email — you can build a template, not just mock one up (this is the bar; tell us about it in your application)
- Fluent in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator)
- Comfortable working alongside AI tools — much of our copy is AI-generated and your job includes making sure it ships looking intentional
- Detail-obsessed: daily promotional cadence means small misses are visible immediately
- Able to work independently, take feedback, and manage a daily checklist without being chased
Compensation & Logistics
- $20/hour , ~35 hours/week
- Hybrid — based out of our downtown Toronto office
- 4-month initial term with a real path to extension or a permanent role as the team grows
- Betstamp swag, early access to what we build, and a portfolio full of shipped, measurable work by the end of your term
The Process
Portfolio review → short video questions on your schedule (~10 minutes, 6 questions) → a paid test task (build one email template from a brand kit — a couple of hours, also on your schedule) → 30-minute conversation with the team → offer. Weeks, not months.
We care more about craft and reliability than credentials — if your portfolio is strong and you can build in HTML, apply.
