JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Logistics/Shipping Supervisor

LEVEL OF AUTHORITY: Supervisor

THIS POSITION REPORTS TO: Plant Manager

JOB TITLES REPORTING TO THIS POSITION: Shipping Associates

ROLE: Manage all aspects of customer order fulfillment process, while executing best practices to ensure efficient and cost effective deliveries of AMEC product.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Supervise shipping associates and effectively apply resources to meet demand.

- Identify opportunities within the order fulfillment process which may increase throughput, minimize costs, reduce delivery times and increase customer satisfaction.

- Administer the Warehouse Management System data to ensure accuracy, maximize storage capacity and increase handling efficiency.

- Maintain all shipping related data required to effectively ship both domestically and internationally.

- Meet corporate and departmental goals and objectives

- Other Duties as assigned by Plant Manager

Qualifications

Education:

- Two year degree in Logistics/supply chain management, preferred.

Experience:

- Three to five years in a similar role, preferred.

Skills / Minimum Requirements:

- Must have organizational skills, including the ability to develop, manage, coordinate,

direct, implement and monitor new processes.

- Must have the ability to communicate at the highest level both written and verbal.
