Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local occupational safety regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Facilitate safety orientations, training programs, and toolbox meetings for employees and contractors.
- Maintain and update safety records, reports, permits, and compliance documentation.
- Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce safety protocols.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including drills and evacuation plans.
- Identify workplace hazards and implement preventive and corrective measures.
- Collaborate with managers and employees to promote a strong safety culture.
- Monitor contractor compliance with site safety requirements.
- Prepare and submit safety performance reports and regulatory requirements as needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Certified Safety Officer SO3 or higher.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
- Experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or construction environments is an advantage.
- Strong communication, investigation, and reporting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
