Are you an experienced Dental Assistant or Orthodontic Assistant looking for an opportunity to expand your clinical skills and learn a growing dental specialty?
A specialty healthcare practice is seeking a Dental / Clinical Assistant to join its Westerville office. This position is especially well suited for candidates with hands-on dental or orthodontic experience, including chairside assisting, digital or traditional impressions, intraoral scanning, dental imaging, Invisalign, retainers, or other dental appliances.
The practice specializes in Dental Sleep Medicine and oral appliance therapy for patients with sleep apnea. Previous Dental Sleep Medicine experience is not required. Comprehensive paid training will be provided to experienced dental professionals interested in developing expertise in this specialty.
We are looking for someone who combines strong dental assisting skills with excellent patient communication, professionalism, attention to detail, comfort with clinical technology, and a genuine desire to learn and grow.
What You'll Do
Welcome and prepare patients for appointments
Build meaningful relationships with patients throughout their treatment journey
Capture digital impressions using advanced technology
Assist providers during patient appointments
Educate patients regarding treatment plans and next steps
Coordinate follow-up appointments and ongoing care
Communicate with referring physician offices
Maintain treatment documentation and patient records
Prepare and maintain clinical equipment and treatment rooms
Support an exceptional patient experience from consultation through follow-up care
What We're Looking For
Medical Assistant or Dental Assistant experience preferred
Strong patient service and communication skills
Professional, dependable, and positive attitude
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Comfortable learning new technology and equipment
Experience using electronic medical or dental records
Reliable transportation
Willingness to travel occasionally between local offices
