This leadership role is responsible for the day-to-day management of security personnel, ensuring compliance with client requirements, maintaining operational excellence, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced industrial environment.

What does a Industrial Site Security Manager do?

As a Industrial Site Security Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and supervision of site security operations, including:

- Leading and supervising a team of security professionals

- Scheduling personnel and ensuring all positions are staffed with trained and qualified guards

- Managing recruitment, training, onboarding, and performance evaluations

- Conducting quality assurance inspections of security personnel, vehicles, equipment, and posts

- Ensuring all security incidents and site events are properly reported, documented, and investigated

- Overseeing access control, search programs, traffic safety initiatives, and emergency response procedures

- Managing emergency dispatch functions, including alarm monitoring and incident coordination

- Developing and maintaining site-specific post orders, procedures, and training programs

- Conducting investigations into security incidents, complaints, and safety-related occurrences

- Maintaining employee records, training files, qualifications, and compliance documentation

- Leading safety initiatives including inspections, toolbox talks, meetings, and incident communications

- Providing regular operational reports and updates to client representatives

- Supporting succession planning and employee development initiatives

- Acting in operational security roles when required to maintain service continuity

Qualifications to become a Industrial Site Security Manager

- Be authorized to work in Canada

- Ability to successfully pass and maintain compliance with client-mandated drug and alcohol testing requirements

- This position requires the use of respiratory protection equipment. Candidates must be able to pass N95 respirator fit testing and comply with all site respiratory protection requirements, including being clean-shaven where required to ensure a proper seal.

- Minimum 5 years of progressive security leadership experience

- Previous supervisory or management experience within an industrial security environment

- Valid Alberta Security License

- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract

- Strong investigative, incident management, and report-writing skills

- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

- Valid CSTS
