Supply Chain Manager, Supplier CapEx (m/w/d) - Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg

Tesla is seeking a driven and strategic Capital Tooling Supply Chain Manager to lead sourcing and execution of supplier CapEx for injection molding, stamping, casting, and related manufacturing processes. This role will define and manage capital investment strategies, drive cost optimization, and strengthen supplier partnerships across Tesla’s global manufacturing network. The ideal candidate combines deep supply chain expertise with strong analytical and negotiation skills to deliver scalable, cost-effective manufacturing solutions.

- Develop and execute the supplier CapEx strategy: Align with overall business objectives to create a comprehensive CapEx plan that drives cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and risk mitigation.
- Supplier relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and driving value.
- Market analysis and benchmarking: Conduct thorough market research to identify industry trends, pricing benchmarks, and potential supply chain disruptions.
- Cost reduction and negotiation: Leverage negotiation skills to achieve optimal pricing and terms for equipment and tooling purchases.
- Data analysis and reporting: Utilize data analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities, measure supplier performance, and provide insights to stakeholders.
- Supplier performance management: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Risk management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with supplier CapEx, including supply chain disruptions and cost fluctuations.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with engineering, finance, procurement, and operations teams to ensure alignment and optimize CapEx spending.
- Project management: Oversee CapEx projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Supplier development: Identify and develop strategic suppliers capable of meeting the company's long-term needs.
- Manage RFQs and contracts, ensuring Non-Disclosure Agreements and Terms & Conditions are negotiated and documented
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to identify capable suppliers, enforce sourcing best practices, and recommend suppliers based on quote analysis

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on CapEx.
- Proven track record of achieving cost savings and improving supply chain efficiency.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Global mindset and experience working with international suppliers.
- Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCP).
- Proficiency in multiple languages.
