Position Overview:

The Regional Operations Manager (ROM) will oversee and manage all compression rental fleet operational activities within a designated region. This includes providing strategic leadership for regional geographical areas with technical and operational expertise and championing safe, best-in-class service that creates customer satisfaction and company value. Managing day-to-day operations, optimizing resource allocation, ensuring service excellence, and driving efficiency across multiple areas. The ROM will ensure that all equipment, resources, and teams are aligned with the companys goals of providing reliable, timely, and cost-effective services to clients.

Responsibilities/Job Duties:

Champions the safety culture of the region by driving leading indicator KPIs and encouraging the behavior based safety initiatives of the organization.
Responsible for the day to day operations of the region including field service maintenance practices, headcount optimization, service quality issue management, and customer communication.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to ensure the region meets company standards for safety, service quality, unit maintenance, financial health, and customer satisfaction
Manage regional budgets, ensuring that operational expenses remain within target levels while maximizing operational efficiency
Conduct regular reviews of financial performance, including cost analysis and profitability assessments
Implement cost-control measures without compromising service quality
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication, service delivery, and prompt issue resolution
Address customer concerns and resolve operational issues in a timely and professional manner.
Collaborate with sales teams to support business growth by ensuring timely and efficient equipment delivery, maintenance, and customer interactions.
Ensure all regional operations are compliant with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards
Oversee safety practices and ensure that all staff are adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment
Lead, mentor, and develop regional operations staff, providing guidance, training, and growth opportunities
Implement and support training programs that ensure staff are knowledgeable in equipment operation, safety procedures, and customer service
Provide regular reports to senior management on regional operations performance, including key metrics, budget status, and any operational challenges
Ensure effective communication between teams, areas, and management to promote transparency and improve operational workflow
Participate in Root Cause and Corrective Action exercises for all safety and quality related issues in the region.
Ensures that equipment is clean and maintained and in excellent working condition.
Empowered to frequently represent the company to customers, providing solutions to technical/operation expertise in response to customer inquiries
Coordinates schedules and activities of supervisors, guides leadership staff in assigned region, and optimizes operational performance, and conducts regular performance appraisals
Handles escalated customer issues and quality incident reports.
Measures and communicates team performance against all set metrics and develops plans for improvement where warranted
Coordinates work with others to minimize equipment downtime and most effectively utilize resources
Evaluate direct reports and make recommendations for technical and soft skills training
Present best practices and implement continuous improvement of service delivery.
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in operations or field services related business
5+ years of compression related experience
5+ years of experience in an operations leadership role
Exhibit strong customer service, interpersonal, coaching and leadership skills
Proficient using complete Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and PC skills
Strong organizational, planning and scheduling, process management and negotiation skills
Strong background in budget management and financial analysis
Strong analytical abilities, mechanical aptitude combined and problem-solving skills
Strong writing skills with technical subject matter and oral communication skills
Preferred academic or technical education
Specific industry knowledge and job experience
Planning & Scheduling experience preferred
Valid Drivers License with satisfactory driving record

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, sit and/or walk on a hard surface as well as safely bend, stoop, reach, climb steps, and use ladder for long periods of time daily
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
Vision required: 20/40 with or without corrective lenses to accurately read all related distribution documents
Ability to communicate verbally using a telephone

Subject to outdoor environment with adjusting temperatures and climate
