About this role

SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on the company’s mechanical equipment and utility systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conduct minor and major repair of all mechanical equipment.

- Conduct routine preventive maintenance procedures on mechanical equipment in keeping with schedules; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts in addition to  clean and inspect compressor, generator and water system.

- Conduct routine inspection of boilers and maintain quality standards through the treatment of water.

- Conduct building repairs as assigned including replacing windows; repairs doors, door locks, etc.

- Execute and record daily and weekly maintenance activities in keeping with checklists.

- Conduct electrical installation for wiring and equipment; new electrical services, replaces and repairs wiring as needed.

- Conduct repairs on electrical equipment and control circuits; replaces faulty electrical switches; repairs refrigeration equipment including electrical locks and control panels to maintain building security as needed.

- Actively respond and execute emergency maintenance requests as required.

- Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.

- Obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed.

- Assist in the startup, operation and conduct the servicing of machines.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

- Level 3 vocational certification in mechanics and/or electronics

- Minimum of three  CSES inclusive of Mathematics & English

- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a similar capacity
