POSITION OVERVIEW
The Nail Technician provides professional nail care services to members and guests in accordance with spa protocols and California state licensing requirements. This role is responsible for ensuring exceptional service, maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and safety, and delivering superior client care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Provide professional nail, hand, and foot treatments in alignment with spa protocols and licensing standards.
- Perform nail enhancements, including acrylics, silks, and gel builder applications.
- Be punctual for all shifts and appointments, completing services within the scheduled time frame.
- Maintain scheduling flexibility to meet the operational needs of the spa.
- Equipment care properly and manage product usage to support cost control.
- Educate clients on spa services, treatment options, and home care products.
- Promote home care programs, retail sales, and spa promotions.
- Uphold all sanitation and sterilization standards per California law and spa policies.
- Prepare, clean, and restock work areas between appointments.
- Respond to member and guest questions or concerns in a professional, courteous manner.
- Contribute to a positive and professional work environment, working independently when required.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and continuing education programs as assigned.
- Support spa operations as requested by management.
- Model professionalism by maintaining a positive attitude, demonstrating teamwork, and exemplifying company values.
- Follow established safety procedures and participate in safety training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current California State Nail Technician/Manicurist License (required).
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a high-end day spa, salon, or resort preferred.
Required Technical / Other Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Excellent customer service and professional communication skills.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with enthusiasm for client care
- Basic computer knowledge for scheduling, client records, and retail transactions.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of acrylic and gel nail techniques, including pink-and-white application.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Current State of California Nail Technician/Manicurist License.
