About this role

As a Structural Engineering Co-op at DN, you will gain hands-on experience in the exciting field of civil engineering and construction. Responsibilities:

- Assist Design Engineers by performing preliminary tank designs, drafting preliminary tank details, reviewing geotechnical project reports, and customizing project specification language.

- Create project specific construction information packages to assist the DN Construction Department in building a new tank.

- Provide support in Research and Development projects performed in the Engineering Department.

- Opportunities to visit tank construction sites and assist Design Engineers in tank and shoring inspections.

Qualifications:

- Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering undergraduate program, structural focus preferred.

- Experience working with CAD software (preferably AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel).

- Excellent communication and time management skills.

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments.

- Ability to problem-solve in individual and team settings.

- Transportation to Wakefield, Massachusetts.

We offer a starting hourly rate of $24 per hour for interns and co-op students. This compensation is based on market rates and determined by considering many factors such as external market salary survey data, internal data for comparable roles, and the operational and budgetary objectives of the company.
