Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring CNC lathe machines to manufacture high-quality metal and plastic components while ensuring safety, quality, and production standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload CNC lathe machines.
- Monitor machine performance and tool life.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Adjust tool offsets to ensure parts meet blueprint specifications.
- Document inspection results and production data accurately.
- Meet or exceed production goals and established cycle times.
- Operate multiple machines when required.
- Log job information, production quantities, and downtime accurately.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
- Report quality, equipment, or production concerns promptly to management.
- Communicate job status and critical information between shifts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment, including:
Micrometers
- Calipers
- Indicators
- Other inspection tools
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to meet production requirements in a fast-paced environment.
Shift:
- Swing: 2:30pm to 11:05pm
