About this role
Major Activities
1) Technical Operations & Maintenance:
- Inspect walls,
ceilings, floors, doors, windows, partitions, and finishes.
- Identify cracks,
dampness, water leakage, settlement, damaged finishes, and other defects.
- Perform masonry work,
plastering work, painting work, tiling work, grouting, and concrete repairs.
- Repair and maintain
doors, windows, partitions, and architectural elements.
- Identify water
penetration and leakage.
- Carry out minor
waterproofing repairs.
- Report major
structural/waterproofing defects.
- Maintain fire-rated
walls, doors, ceilings, shafts, and fire-stopping systems.
- Ensure fire exits and
escape routes remain unobstructed.
- Repair civil damage
caused by MEP installations.
- Support civil works
for CCTV, access control, fire alarm, elevator, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing installations.
- Maintain
equipment-room finishes and access areas.
- Perform minor fit-out
and renovation works.
2) Compliance &
Safety:
- Ensure all maintenance
operations comply with relevant regulatory codes, company policies, and safety
standards.
- Adhere to and enforce
strict safety protocols, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), and maintain a safe
working environment.
- Work closely with
management to ensure compliance with all government regulations.
- Any other assignment has been given by the
line manager.
### Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
- High School Degree
with experience in Maintenance, Repairing and Renovation of building or
relevant technical qualification.
- Diploma
(14 Pass) is an advance.
Relevant Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years
relevant experience in building maintenance, repairing, civil works, and
building fabrics like painting, concreting, carpenter, drywall, ceiling,
water proofing.
- Strong
experience in commercial buildings, banks, hospitals, or similar facilities
preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to respond
to emergency maintenance calls after hours and work flexible hours as needed.
- Basic English
knowledge.
- Strong analytical
and problem-solving abilities with a focus on building condition, safety and
operational efficiency.
- In-depth knowledge
of building maintenance and repairing including walls, floors, ceilings,
roofs, facades, doors, windows, partitions, and finishes.
- Strong practical knowledge
of masonry, plastering, concrete repair, painting, tilling, flooring,
grouting, and minor fir-out works.
- Knowledge of roof
maintenance and waterproofing systems.
- Ability to identify
cracks, dampness, water leakage, settlement, structural defects, and other
building fabric problems.
- Knowledge of
fire-rated doors, fire rated walls, fire-stopping, fire exits, and emergency
escape routes.
- Ability to support
civil works associated with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting,
security, elevator, and other building systems.
- Ability to estimate
basic quantities of materials required for maintenance works.
- Ability to read and
interpret basic civil drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong
communication, teamwork, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Understanding
of HSE requirements and safe working practices.
