About this role

Role Summary:

There is an exciting opportunity for a Design Office Manager at our Centurion branch.

- Provide most technically effective solution for client and most effective for PERI on standard and complex applications .

- Provide most technically effective solution for client and most cost effective for PERI on special applications under supervision .

- Interaction with the client through face-to-face meetings, email, phone, or MS Teams.

- Provide technical consultation to Sales Department and Clients, during meetings or technical site service for standard to complex applications .

- Attend weekly resource planning meetings and advise on project progress.

- Oversee quality and technical accuracy of all work produced in design team.

- Communicate the PERI technical Strategies to the technical team.

- Prepare and monitor training for the Design Team members.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

- Understand and implement all PERI Engineering relevant directives to all employees reporting to this position.

- Overseeing and organizing complete formwork/scaffolding design process of the team (correct, accurate and on time).

- Check and approve all designs for relevant design office.

- PR signoff on projects when required.

- Assess, train, and develop skill level of design team members.

- Apply In-depht knowledge of PERI design processes and products.

- Communicate relevant information with other departments.

- Active participation in technical negotiations and meetings with clients.

- To have a proactive responsibility and awareness for OHSA procedures related to the area of responsibility.

- Assist in the guidance and mentoring of Engineering Designers, Design Draughtsman & Snr Design Draughtsman.

Experience/ Qualifications & Skills/Attributes:

- Minimum 5 years of formwork/scaffolding experience

Minimum Requirements :

Qualifications

- Draughting or construction experience

- Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering

Skills/Attributes

- Experience in leading people

- Entrepreneurial thinking

- IT proficient (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

- High knowledge of PERICAD / CAD

- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

- Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing)

- Strong work ethic, open and reliable

- Trustworthy and honest

- Driving License

- Registered Professional or demonstrable progress towards professional registration. (PrEng/PrTEch/PrTechni)
