About this role

SECTION I: Job Summary

The QC Inspector – Structural performs inspection and testing of structural steel fabrication and erection activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.

SECTION II: Job Analysis

Duties & Responsibilities

· Perform in-process and final inspections on structural steel fabrication and erection works.

· Witness structural bolting, welding, and alignment checks per the ITP.

· Verify structural steel installation against approved drawings, erection plans, and tolerances.

· Verify materials (structural steel, bolts, coatings) against material certificates and specifications.

· Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports as required.

· Coordinate hold points and inspections with client/third-party inspectors.

· Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.

· Verify calibration status of measuring and test equipment used on site.

· Support punch-list generation and verification of closure for structural works.

· Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and structural codes (AISC, etc.).

· Support preparation of quality documentation for structural handover dossiers.

SECTION V: Required Experience and Education

Experience

· 5–8 years of experience as a QC Inspector on structural steel construction projects.

Education

· Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.

· QC/inspection certification preferred.
