Execute day-to-day API manufacturing operations as per approved BMR, SOPs and production plans.
Supervise and monitor manufacturing processes including charging, reaction, heating/cooling, distillation, extraction, crystallization, filtration, centrifugation, drying and milling.
Ensure correct raw-material dispensing, identification and charging as per approved batch instructions.
Monitor critical process parameters such as temperature, pressure, pH, reaction time, agitation and vacuum.
Ensure operations are performed within defined process limits and immediately report any abnormalities.
Coordinate with QC and QA for sampling, testing, line clearance and batch-release activities.
Ensure proper cleaning and readiness of manufacturing equipment before starting production.
Review and complete BMR, logbooks, equipment records and other production documents accurately and on time.
Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, EHS and data-integrity requirements.
Investigate process deviations, batch discrepancies and equipment-related problems and support RCA/CAPA activities.
Coordinate with Engineering/Maintenance for breakdowns, preventive maintenance and equipment-related issues.
Supervise operators and contract manpower and ensure effective utilization of manpower.
Ensure production activities are completed according to the approved production schedule.
Monitor yield, solvent recovery, material consumption and process losses.
Maintain good housekeeping and ensure safe handling of chemicals and process materials.
Participate in process optimization, continuous improvement and productivity-enhancement activities.
Ensure proper implementation of safety procedures, PPE, permit-to-work and emergency-response requirements.
Train operators and junior team members on SOPs, process operations, GMP and safety practices.
