About this role
## Your mission
At EFESO, we help leading Nordic companies improve performance across manufacturing, operations, and supply chains. We work hands-on with management teams, operational leaders, and private equity firms to deliver measurable results through Operations Excellence, Supply Chain transformation, and Industrial AI.
We are now looking for an ambitious and analytical student who wants to combine their studies with practical experience in Management Consulting and Industrial AI.
As a Data Scientist Intern at EFESO Nordics, you will strengthen our Data & AI capability by contributing to client projects, internal AI initiatives, and the development of data-driven solutions within industry, operations, and supply chain. You will gain hands-on exposure to our World Class Operations (WCOM) methodology and structured problem solving, while helping shape EFESO's future in Industrial AI.
Depending on your interests and background, you will contribute to work such as:
- Data collection, analysis, and visualisation
- Development and testing of AI solutions
- Copilot and agent development (Nordics Agentic AI development)
- Python-based analysis and automation
- Preparation of decision support for client projects
- Benchmarking, research, and market analysis
- Communicating analytical results to consultants and clients
This is a full-time (100%) internship based at our office in Stockholm, working closely with consultants and experts within Data & AI.
## Your profile
We are looking for a student who combines strong analytical capabilities with curiosity, initiative, and a genuine interest in improving how companies operate. We prioritise potential, drive, and problem-solving ability over deep technical specialization, a solid technical foundation is assumed, but we care most about how you think.
You are likely:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, AI, Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
- Curious, intellectually sharp, and a fast learner
- Self-driven, responsible, and comfortable working with uncertainty
- Structured, with the ability to organise information and draw clear conclusions
- Interested in both technology and business
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively
Previous experience from consulting, internships, industry, student organisations, entrepreneurship, analytics projects, programming, or AI-related initiatives is considered a plus, but is not required.
Educational requirements
- Ongoing university studies with strong academic performance
- Basic programming skills, preferably in Python
- Good Excel and data-handling skills
- Good Swedish and/or English, spoken and written (Swedish is an advantage for client-facing work)
Experience with advanced Python, SQL, Power BI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Copilot, Agentic AI, data visualisation, or Git/GitHub is considered an advantage. The selection process may include a practical coding exercise.
## Why us?
We offer:
- A unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Industrial AI while studying
- Exposure to senior leaders and some of the largest industrial companies in the Nordic region
- The chance to apply data science and AI to real operations and supply chain challenges
- Mentorship and coaching from experienced consultants and sector experts
- An open, entrepreneurial, and non-hierarchical culture
- A potential pathway to future internships, thesis opportunities, and full-time employment
At EFESO, you will not be sitting on the sidelines. You will contribute to real projects, work alongside experienced consultants, and help create measurable value for our clients.
