In service of this goal we have multiple high visibility, high impact senior engineering roles available in Privacy, which will put you right at the heart of some of the company’s most important investments and challenges. You might find yourself working on a company wide regulatory response, supporting product teams across Meta on both technical strategy and execution. Or you may develop a deep expertise in a particular theme of external pressure, shaping the company technical direction and developing centralized systems and tooling to allow the business to execute at pace whilst staying on top of our obligations.
Responsibilities
Drive technical strategy for company trajectory-altering problems, negotiating the approach with executive leadership and developing the execution plan with partner orgs, and ensuring we meet privacy commitments while optimizing for company efficiency
Establish technical direction for new Privacy teams working in areas with evolving requirements and significant organizational complexity
Accelerate our ability to meet privacy commitments by developing and applying novel technologies
Partner and effectively communicate with teams across Meta to navigate complex technical trade offs in their privacy decision making
Identify and execute upon opportunities to help the company move fast through centralization of tooling and systems
Embrace a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are operationalized at a very fast pace
Qualifications
Experience leading projects with industry-wide impact
Experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions
Experience in mentoring/influencing senior engineers across organizations
Proven track record of planning multi-year roadmaps in which shorter-term projects ladder to the long-term vision
Strong experience with building large-scale applications, or similar experience
Experience with web or mobile technologies
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience Experience applying privacy frameworks, data strategy, or AI/ML techniques to product development
Experience shipping products to many millions of customers
Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
