- Job Title : ackaging Engineer

- Physical location: Kansas City,Missouri

- Type of contract : Long-term At-will

Responsibilities :

Exploratory consultation phase (AVP):

- Defines   the   optimum   supply-chain organization, human resources, means, necessary   in order to   guarantee Safety, Customer Service and Quality while Costs and Inventories are kept minimum

- Calculates   the supply-chain & Packaging budget of the project (cost per part, investments, … )

- Makes   sure that the quotation is based on the use of standard   equipments   and processes

- Identifies   and escalate any industrial risks

Project development phase:

- Defines   and develops the supply-chain scheme from suppliers to   customers:   physicals flows, information flows, outbound, inbound, internal plant, always being in contact with Manufacturing project managers and plants

- Defines   optimum   stock levels at each step of the process, with a focus on Lead Time optimization

- Develops   the functional specifications for semi-finished packaging means and final packaging from the customer specification, the industrial   organization   and the production units ’ constraints, in cooperation with assembly engineers, manufacturing project managers and plant engineers.

- Ensures   fine tuning and reception of packaging means, their availability for the trials at each step of the project development, until eventually customers approval and until   objectives   are met

Ideal Candidate Profile

- Bachelor   degree with experience or Master’s degree

- Internal: Plant Logstics Engineer

- External: similar role in an industrial company or logistics provider

- Dedication to safety

- Customer orientation/leadership/team spirit/autonomy

- Multi-functional and multi-cultural communication with English language mandatory

- Openness to new ideas

- Good understanding of lean principles and supply-chain tools

- Good understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including the ability to work with a 3D viewer software

- Computer literacy

- Willing to travel extensively
