Flexographic Press Operator
We are hiring an experienced Flexographic Press Operator to join a manufacturing and printing operation in Anderson, SC. This position is ideal for a dependable, detail-oriented operator with hands-on experience running flexographic printing presses and a strong understanding of print quality, machine setup, and production processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor flexographic printing presses throughout the production process
- Set up presses for different jobs, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and changing plates, inks, and other components
- Monitor print quality, color, registration, and overall production specifications
- Make adjustments to press settings to maintain consistent quality and production rates
- Perform routine inspections and quality checks during production
- Troubleshoot basic equipment and printing issues
- Follow job specifications, work instructions, and production schedules
- Record production information, materials used, downtime, and quality issues
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Perform routine press cleaning and basic maintenance as needed
- Work closely with other production team members to meet quality and productivity goals
Qualifications
- Previous hands-on experience operating a flexographic printing press is required
- Experience in a commercial printing, label, flexible packaging, or converting environment preferred
- Knowledge of press setup, changeovers, inks, plates, registration, and print quality
- Ability to identify and correct basic printing and equipment issues
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products
- Ability to read and follow job specifications and production instructions
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move materials as required
