We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Forklift Operator experienced in operating both sit-down and stand-up (reach truck) forklifts. You will be responsible for loading, unloading, moving, and staging materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring inventory accuracy and adhering to strict safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Operation: Safely operate sit-down electric/LP gas forklifts and stand-up reach trucks to load, unload, stack, and move materials.
Inbound & Outbound Logistics: Unload incoming freight, inspect shipments for damage, verify counts against bill of lading, and load outbound trailers efficiently.
Inventory & Staging: Transport raw materials or finished goods to designated storage bays, high-bay racks, or production lines; perform periodic inventory counts using RF scanners.
Safety & Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-shift inspections on equipment (battery checks, fluid levels, brakes, tires); report maintenance issues immediately; follow all company safety guidelines and OSHA standards.
General Operations: Assist with order picking, packing, palletizing, shrink-wrapping, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Certification: Current forklift operator certification required (or ability to pass company certification within 30 days of hire).
Technical Skills: Experience with RF handheld scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, stand/sit for long periods, bending, reaching, and operating in temperature-varied environments.
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Working Conditions
Dynamic warehouse environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures (including cooler/freezer areas where applicable).
2nd Shift, Mon-Fri, 2:00PM –10PM
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $18.00
