Performs setup and make-ready on the machine
Accurately places dies into position
Adjusts pressure of machine
Adjusts the machine feeding and delivery sections
Performs maintenance on equipment
Assures proper registration of product coming off press
Loads product into feed section of press
Keeps management informed of safety, quality, and productivity issues
Follows instructions from job ticket and completes proper paperwork
Instructs and trains others
Communicates well within a team environment encompassing all shifts
Required to perform other duties as directed, assigned or requested
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Minimum of high school education or equivalent
3 year of related die cutting, foil stamping and embossing experience
Required to read and write, follow verbal instructions and use simple math
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have ability to handle multiple tasks both mentally and physically
Must possess a high degree of physical coordination
Must possess a high mechanical aptitude
Must have ability to achieve acceptable levels for safety, quality, and productivity
Must be able to work well with others as well as independently
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach
Regularly required to use force to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment:
Work performed in a shop environment where a noise level is moderate but on some instances might be required to where ear protection is necessary
Might be required to wear safety glasses
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
Regularly exposed to dust, odors, and moderate noise
Occasionally exposed to hot and cold temperature
