About this role
As a Cheese Production Intern, you will get hands-on experience within a food manufacturing environment and learn the process of making blue cheese from start to finish. Each intern will be given a project that addresses business critical needs and will have the opportunity to impact AgCertain through their work in a meaningful way.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Operate safely and appropriately in all AgCertain situations and environments
- Fulfill tasks as assigned by your supervisor with high engagement and attention to detail
- Build your understanding of AgCertains growing role in the agriculture industry
- Learn the process of blue cheese making from start to finish
- Troubleshoot potential problems within manufacturing environment
- Ensure strong communication with supervisors and leadership through continual reporting on project progress
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in undergraduate studies for Dairy Science, Food Science or related fields
- Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and technical skills
- Have an interest in engineering
- A willingness to learn
- Act with integrity, candor, excellence, curiosity, and a commitment to safety
- Abide by Good Manufacturing Practices in all areas of the facility
