About the role
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on  Assistant Finance Manager  to support the Finance Manager in overseeing the accounting and financial operations across  four legal entities within the Group .  This role covers financial reporting, month-end closing, taxation, treasury, statutory compliance, internal controls, and process improvement. You will also work closely with operational stakeholders to provide accurate financial insights and support sound business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate  month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing , including review of journal entries, reconciliations, management accounts, financial statements, and group consolidation.
- Oversee daily accounting operations including  AP, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Tax, and intercompany transactions , ensuring accuracy and compliance with Group policies and applicable accounting standards.
- Manage  statutory, tax, and regulatory matters , including external audits, tax filings, SST, e-Invoicing, and liaison with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and relevant authorities.
- Monitor  cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities , including cash flow forecasting, funding requirements, and timely supplier payments.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in  Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline .
- Professional qualification such as  ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, MICPA , or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Minimum  4 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
- Experience managing  multiple legal entities, group reporting, consolidation, and intercompany transactions .
- Strong knowledge of  financial reporting, taxation, treasury, audit, and statutory compliance  in Malaysia.
- Familiarity with  MPERS, Companies Act 2016, SST, and e-Invoicing  requirements.
- Experience in  distribution, trading, marketing services, FMCG, retail, project-based, or commercial environments  is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop finance team members.
