Job Title- Supply Chain Manager
Job Summary

The Manager – Supply Chain Management is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, warehousing, Stores , and Spare Parts Division (SPD) . The role ensures uninterrupted material availability, cost efficiency, accurate inventory control, and timely support to production, maintenance, and after-sales/service functions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supply Chain Planning & Control

- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals.

- Plan demand forecasting, material planning, and replenishment cycles.

- Ensure optimal inventory levels while minimizing carrying and obsolescence costs.

- Coordinate with production, maintenance, sales, and service teams.

2. Stores Management

- Oversee day-to-day operations of stores/warehouses.

- Ensure proper receipt, storage, preservation, and issuance of materials.

- Implement FIFO/FEFO practices and ensure accurate stock records.

- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.

- Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, and regulatory standards.

3. Spare Parts Division (SPD) Management

- Manage end-to-end operations of the Spare Parts Division.

- Ensure availability of critical and fast-moving spare parts to support maintenance and service requirements.

- Classify and control spare parts (critical, insurance, non-moving, obsolete).

- Optimize spare parts inventory levels to reduce downtime and excess stock.

- Coordinate with maintenance, service, and engineering teams for forecasting and planning.

4. Logistics & Distribution

- Manage inbound and outbound logistics operations.

- Optimize transportation costs and delivery timelines.

- Coordinate with logistics partners and ensure timely dispatch and receipt of materials and spares.

5. Systems, Processes & Compliance

- Ensure effective use of ERP/MRP systems for inventory and supply chain management.

- Develop and improve SOPs for stores, procurement, and SPD operations.

- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and statutory regulations.

6. Team Leadership & Development

- Lead, mentor, and develop supply chain, stores, and SPD teams.

- Allocate tasks, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance reviews.

- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

7. Reporting & Continuous Improvement

- Prepare MIS reports on inventory, procurement, logistics, and spare parts performance.

- Analyze KPIs such as inventory turnover, service level, stock accuracy, and cost savings.

- Identify improvement opportunities and implement best practices.

Qualifications

- BE + MBA in Supply Chain Management, Logistics.

Experience

- 15+ years of experience in supply chain management from Auto Ancillary Companies MNC are preferred.

- Proven experience managing Stores and Spare Parts Division in a manufacturing, industrial, or service environment.

- Experience Must able to handle multiple locations
