Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant . This role will play a key part in financial reporting, month-end close activities, cash management, variance analysis, and audit support. The ideal candidate will have strong full-cycle accounting experience and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Conduct balance sheet and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Support cash management activities, including monitoring cash flow and maintaining cash forecasts.
- Perform variance analysis and investigate fluctuations between actual and budgeted results.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Support internal and external audit requests, ensuring documentation is complete and audit-ready.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and management teams to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
- Assist with process improvements and internal control initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Experience preparing reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close schedules.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
- Experience with Yardi and/or Bill.com is a plus.
- Experience within real estate, construction and development , or logistics environments is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
