About this role

LightPath Technologies is seeking a highly analytical, process-driven, and operationally grounded ERP Business Systems Manager to own, optimize, and continuously improve our INFOR Visual ERP ecosystem globally across manufacturing, finance, supply chain, engineering, and quality functions. This is a business systems ownership role responsible for ensuring that Visual ERP supports operational excellence, financial integrity, audit readiness, cybersecurity compliance (CMMC L2, SOX), and scalable growth across multi-site manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate understands manufacturing workflows, ERP data integrity, cross-functional process mapping, and governance controls, and can translate operational realities into clean, structured ERP architecture.

Responsibilities:

ERP System Global Ownership & Administration

- Serve as primary administrator for Visual ERP.

- Manage system configuration, parameters, user roles, security permissions, and workflows.

- Maintain ERP master data integrity (items, BOMs, routings, vendors, customers, cost structures).

- Oversee version upgrades, patches, and release validation testing.

- Manage integrations between Visual ERP and:

- Accounting systems

- MES systems

- CRM platforms

- Data analytics tools

- Third-party reporting solutions

Business Process Optimization

- Map current-state workflows across Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Plan-to-Produce, Inventory & Warehouse, Cost Accounting

- Identify process inefficiencies and design ERP-driven improvements.

- Lead cross-functional ERP optimization initiatives.

- Standardize ERP workflows across all LightPath locations.

- Develop SOPs aligned with system configuration.

Manufacturing & Operations Alignment

- Support engineering change management within ERP.

- Ensure accurate BOM and routing structures.

- Validate cost roll-ups and labor absorption accuracy.

- Support MRP planning and forecasting accuracy.

- Partner with Operations to improve Inventory accuracy, Production scheduling, Work order management, Scrap and yield tracking.

Data Governance & Compliance

- Enforce role-based access control in ERP aligned to CMMC L2 requirements, SOX controls, Segregation of duties standards

- Maintain change management logs for system modifications.

- Support audit readiness with clean documentation.

- Ensure proper data retention and system logging practices.

- Coordinate ERP-related compliance documentation with IT and Security teams.

Reporting & Analytics

- Design and maintain ERP dashboards and reporting structures.

- Develop executive-level KPI reporting Inventory turns, Production variance, Margin by product line, On-time delivery, and Cost variance.

- Partner with Finance and Operations to ensure reporting accuracy.

- Improve real-time visibility into operational performance.

User Training & Enablement

- Develop ERP training materials for Manufacturing floor personnel, Finance teams, Supply chain, and Engineering.

- Lead onboarding ERP training for new employees.

- Serve as internal ERP subject matter expert.

- Establish best-practice governance for system usage.

- Lead ERP-related projects including Module implementations, Workflow automation, Data cleanup initiatives, and System integrations.

- Develop project timelines and cross-functional coordination plans.

- Report ERP health metrics to executive leadership.

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Business, Accounting or related field.

- 5+ years of experience administering INFOR Visual ERP system.

- Deep understanding of manufacturing operations and cost accounting.

- Must be authorized to work and reside in the US and must be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government to conform with, but not limited to, U.S. export control regulations (ITAR).

- Strong knowledge of MRP, BOM structures, Inventory management, and Production scheduling.

- Experience supporting ERP in regulated environments (SOX, CMMC, ISO, etc.).

- Advanced SQL or ERP reporting tool experience.

- Strong documentation and process mapping skills.

Preferred:

- Experience in optics, precision manufacturing, aerospace, or defense manufacturing.
