Staff Accountant
Remote | DMV Area Preferred
$80,000 - $95,000 Base Salary
Our client, a high-growth public company, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its expanding accounting organization.
This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced accounting leadership and contribute across multiple areas of the accounting function, including month-end close, financial reporting support, reconciliations, accruals, and process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the monthly close process
- Support general ledger accounting activities, including accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
- Assist with payroll-related accounting and cash management activities
- Support external audit requests and financial reporting requirements
- Participate in ongoing process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1-3 years of accounting experience
- Public accounting experience strongly preferred
- Audit or assurance experience highly desirable
- CPA eligible or actively pursuing CPA certification is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $80,000 - $90,000
