The Patient Recruitment team is seeking a highly motivated and tech-savvy Intern to join the Patient Engagement & Innovation team. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate with hands-on experience in data handling, analysis, and project coordination, and a strong interest in leveraging automation tools like Google Apps Script and emerging AI technologies to improve patient communication and experience in clinical trials.This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to real-world innovation in healthcare engagement and to work with cross-functional teams on data-driven and tech-enabled projects.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support data collection, cleaning, validation, and analysis to inform patient engagement strategies.
- Perform data administration tasks, including data entry, record maintenance, data mapping, quality assurance, and ensuring accuracy across internal systems and spreadsheets.
- Maintain and organize databases, trackers, dashboards, and documentation to support operational and reporting needs.
- Automate internal workflows and reporting processes using tools such as Google Apps Script.
- Explore and apply emerging AI tools (e.g., AI assistants, automation platforms, AI driven analytics) to improve team efficiency and patient outreach effectiveness.
- Assist in coordinating timelines and deliverables across cross functional teams.
- Collaborate on technology driven initiatives that enhance the patient journey and operational processes.
- Prepare summary reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present insights and recommendations.
- Document technical processes, standard operating procedures, and automation workflows to support scalable operations.
- Assist with testing, validating, and monitoring new automation tools, AI solutions, and system enhancements before implementation.
- Perform other administrative and operational support tasks as assigned to support the Patient Engagement & Innovation team.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Public Health, Health Informatics, Business, or a related field.
- Experience working with spreadsheets and data sets; strong proficiency in Google Sheets and Google Apps Script is preferred.
- Familiarity with or interest in using AI tools, automation platforms, or other productivity-enhancing technologies.
- Basic understanding of data analysis, automation logic, and workflow optimization.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Passion for healthcare innovation, patient-centered design, and continuous improvement.
- Any exposure in dealing with international clients will be preferred.
- Understand the ethics of working in a professional environment, good at completing the tasks and taking constructive feedback.
