About this role

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-driven Estimator to join our pre-construction team. In this role, you'll be at the heart of how we win and deliver projects—analyzing plans, building accurate cost estimates, and working hand-in-hand with Engineering, Project Management, and Sales to ensure every bid reflects real-world scope, cost, and constructability. If you love digging into drawings, solving technical puzzles, and turning complexity into clear numbers, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

•        Analyze Projects: Review architectural plans, engineering drawings, and specifications to understand scope, constructability, and technical requirements fully.

•        Bridge Teams: Serve as a key liaison between Engineering, Project Management, and Sales to keep scope, budget, and client expectations aligned from pursuit through execution.

•        Build Accurate Estimates: Use tools like Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, and CAD (plus manual methods) to estimate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor costs, and more.

•        Support Bids & Sales: Prepare competitive, detailed proposals and provide technical input, budget guidance, and scope clarity during client discussions.

•        Collaborate on Design: Work with internal and external engineering teams to validate design intent and ensure estimates reflect current design and constructability considerations.

•        Support Project Handoff: Partner with Project Managers to ensure a smooth transition from estimate to execution, keeping scope, budget, and schedule aligned.

•        Manage Risk: Identify technical, financial, and execution risks, and build appropriate contingencies into estimates.

•        Find Value: Collaborate with Engineering and Sales on cost-saving alternatives and value engineering opportunities that protect quality and performance.

•        Track Costs: Help monitor actual costs against estimates, evaluate change orders, and flag cost variances.

•        Stay Organized: Maintain clear records of estimates, assumptions, and coordination discussions, and keep communication flowing across all stakeholders.

What You Bring

•        Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (advanced estimating certifications are a plus).

•        Proven experience as an Estimator in construction, with a track record of estimating and bidding projects of varying size and complexity.

•        Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, ProEst, RSMeans, or equivalent, plus familiarity with CAD tools.

•        Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.

•        Excellent written and verbal communication skills — you can present estimates clearly and negotiate confidently with suppliers and stakeholders.

•        Meticulous attention to detail and strong time management, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

•        Creative, resourceful problem-solving skills.

Why Join Us

You'll play a critical role in shaping how projects come to life — from the first sketch to the final bid. This is a place where your analysis directly influences the success of real projects, and where collaboration across teams is part of the job, not an afterthought.
