Assistant Production Manager – Night Shift (Entry Level)

Direct Mail Solutions is a full-service mail and fulfillment company located in Richmond, Virginia. DMS is seeking a Commingle Assistant Manager to supervise the production staff and coordinate all production activities while reporting directly to the Commingle Operations Manager.

Pay:
$21.00-$24.00/Hourly

Primary Duties & Responsibilities :

- Manage in the motivation and guidance of production employees to develop and maintain a teamwork environment.

- Assist in training activities and orientation of new hires in the commingle department.

- Facilitate internal resources to solve problems.

- Maintain a positive work atmosphere.

- Ability to efficiently operate production equipment, specifically commingle machines.

- Assign and/or delegate daily assignments as needed to complete production duties in an efficient manner.

- Provide an active leadership role in all aspects of daily production operations.

- Oversee efficient and effective handling of finished product/mail.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities :

- A minimum of 1 year experience in a production environment is required.

- Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and manage multitasked personnel in order to meet project deadlines.

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

- Basic computer and communication skills are required.

- Previous management or supervisory experience is preferred.

- Flexible with scheduled work hours.

- Able to safely lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis, occasionally more than 50lbs. Frequent bending, twisting, and pulling.

- Bilingual is a Plus.

Schedule:
Night Shift: Monday - Thursday, 7:40 PM to 6:10 AM (Enjoy a 3-day weekend with full-time hours!)
