About this role
As a Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for product development of high voltage AC-DC and DC-DC solutions.
Responsibilities
• Product design from conceptualization to mass production.
• Circuit design of power electronic components for data center applications with focus on Vienna rectifiers, Totem-pole PFC, LLC and other resonant circuits, analog circuits, etc.
• Knowledge in components selection and second source proposals, generate simulation and calculations.
• Product design optimization, evaluation and documentation of Vienna rectifiers, Totem-pole PFC, LLC and other resonant circuits built with the company’s products.
• Facilitate technical design review with engineering teams.
• Characterization of new circuits and components.
• Low and high voltage characterizations, components characterization and perform various electrical evaluations.
• Generate schematic and supervise PCB layout design.
• Generation of internal technical documentation such as technical presentation, test plan and test reports.
• Familiar in safety, quality/reliability, and manufacturability of the products.
• Technical lead, facilitate technical reviews and trainings for junior engineers.
• Provide design technical support and technical advice to customers.
• Work with vendors, test engineering and industrialization teams to prepare designs for testing and manufacturing.
• Collaboration and support with related industrial groups like Marketing, IC Development, Application Engineering, Operations, Test Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and etc.
Requirements
• Degree in electronics engineering or in related fields
• Excellent understanding of power electronics and electronics engineering fundamentals
• Minimum 5 years of experience of power electronics design in any of the following: gate drivers, switch mode power supply and power management. MS/PhD new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Knowledge and experience of power electronics components such as GaN, IGBT, Si or SiC MOSFET, gate drives, bi-directional switches and analog/digital circuits (e.g., op-amps, comparator, logic gates, etc.)
• Knowledge or familiarity with circuit simulation tools (e.g., Simetrix/Simplis, Plecs) and PCB schematics capture and layout (e.g., Altium, OrCAD)
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Learning capability and willingness to be trained and pursue further education
• Resilient under stress even in tough situations

Preferred
• Power electronics design experience and knowledge of power electronic components (e.g. Diode, GaN, IGBT, MOSFET, SiC MOSFET, Gate Driver) and/or SMPS
• Knowledge and extensive working experience with Vienna rectifiers, totem-pole PFC, resonant converters.
• Deep understanding of SMPS topologies.
• Knowledge of understanding and interpreting international standards (e.g. DIN EN and IEC)
