- Armed Security Officer for Recycling Yard

Job Description:

As an Armed Security Officer , you will be responsible for safeguarding properties, deterring criminal activity, and ensuring the safety of businesses, construction sites, and residential communities, etc.
Your role requires vigilance, strong decision-making, and excellent communication skills to handle security incidents effectively. Officers are responsible for access control, deterring theft, and hourly patrols.

Monday - - - 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM
Tuesday - - - 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM
Wednesday - - - 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM
Thursday - - - 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM
Friday - - - 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM
40 HRS Per Week + OT Opportunities

Compensation:

$27.00 per hour

Armed Security Guard Responsibilities:

- Conduct routine patrols to monitor and secure designated locations.

- Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access.

- Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety.

- Respond swiftly to incidents and provide support in emergency situations.

- Document daily activity, incidents, and observations accurately in reports.

- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding security updates and concerns.

Armed Security Guard Qualifications:

- Valid BSIS Guard Card & BSIS Firearm Permit (required).

- Current with BSIS Compliance

i.e: 8-Hour Initial Training Certificate

- 32-hour continuing education certificates

- Experience working graveyard shifts.

- Required equipment: Tactical vest, handcuffs, and a less-than-lethal device such as a Baton or OC spray.

- Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.

- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

- Ability to remain alert, responsive, and proactive in high-pressure situations.
