Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience.
- Ability to safely operate commercial laundry equipment.
- Knowledge of laundering techniques and sanitation practices and experience managing inventories.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain records.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to obtain required clearances.
- English communication skills required.
- Experience in regulated environments and familiarity with infection control practices and PPE preferred
Responsibilities and Scope:
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, bedding, towels, clothing, and other assigned items.
- Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect laundered items for cleanliness, damage, and wear.
- Maintain laundry equipment and report maintenance concerns.
- Handle contaminated materials in accordance with safety procedures.
- Clean, disinfect, and sanitize assigned areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors.
- Empty trash and dispose of waste properly.
- Restock restroom and facility supplies.
- Launder and restock linens as assigned.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining and food service areas.
- Maintain adequate inventories of linens, towels, clothing, laundry supplies, and related materials.
- Organize, store, and distribute clean items.
- Maintain laundry areas in a clean and sanitary condition.
- Complete required logs and records.
- Participate in required training.
