Automotive Detail Technician

Position Overview

Tansky Sawmill Toyota is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Automotive Detail Technician to support our used vehicle reconditioning process and collision center operations . This role is responsible for ensuring vehicles are professionally cleaned, detailed, and presentation-ready to meet dealership quality standards before sale or customer delivery.

This position plays a critical role in vehicle turnaround time, customer satisfaction, and overall dealership appearance.

Key Responsibilities

Used Vehicle Reconditioning

- Perform full interior and exterior detailing on used vehicles prior to retail sale

- Shampoo carpets, clean upholstery, wipe down interior surfaces, and remove stains

- Wash, dry, and finish vehicle exteriors to dealership standards

- Prepare vehicles for photography, online listings, and showroom presentation

Collision Center Support

- Detail vehicles after body repairs and refinishing are completed

- Remove dust, overspray residue, and interior debris following repairs

- Ensure vehicles are clean, presentable, and customer-ready at delivery

General Duties

- Maintain a clean and organized detailing area

- Properly use and store detailing chemicals, tools, and equipment

- Report vehicle damage or issues discovered during the detailing process

- Work efficiently to meet reconditioning and delivery timelines

- Follow all dealership safety policies and procedures

Qualifications & Expectations

- Prior automotive detailing experience preferred (dealership or body shop experience is a plus)

- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record

- Ability to stand, bend, and work on vehicles for extended periods

- Dependable attendance and professional attitude required
