Job Description:

The Role:

The Production Planner prioritizes sales orders to create and implement a weekly production schedule consistent with the plant capacity and sales forecast. Production Planner ensures that all materials and resources are available to fulfill customer orders in the most cost effective and efficient manner.

In this role you will:

1. Generate twelve weekly rolling production schedules for finished goods and intermediates based

on demand, capacity, and raw material availability.

2 .   Work with the shop floor team to drive schedule adherence by   maintaining   accurate   production

start dates while taking into consideration resource constraints.

3. Review rush batches for orders requested inside the standard production lead time and provide

updated   commitments to customer service.

4.   Identify   batch sizes for optimization to ensure production is   in sync   with demand.

5 . Provide   weekly rolling production schedules   to support Pilot Plant production for LVM products and

NPI   products.

6.   Work with   customer facing team to   monitor   customer safety stock level and   manage   safety stock

level   to fulfill customer   expectation .

7 . Review   semi-finish goods   material ( abrasives)   inventory against present and anticipated

demand and engage central planning and   purchasing   team when necessary.

8 .   Participate   in   weekly   cross-functional production planning meetings.

Traits we believe make a strong candidate:

1. B .A. / B.S. degree in Supply Chain Planning or 3+ years of work experience.

2 .   Technical

(1) Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment processes.

(2) Strong systems / process orientation with   demonstrated   analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

(3) Proficient in MS office applications.

(4) Working knowledge of   SAP mo dules.
